How Often Should I Wash My Car?

This really depends on how often you drive the vehicle and in what conditions you drive your vehicle.  Your vehicle picks up residue from the oil on the roads to bug remains on the grill of the car.  Salt and sand during the winter time can also add to the harmful residues on your vehicle.  If you keep a good coat of wax on your vehicle then once or twice a month should maintain the appearance of your automobile as well as protect the paint.

"You should wash your car a minimum of once a week, due to the fact that your car is constantly bombarded with contaminants such as tree sap mist and bird droppings," Mike Pennington of Meguiars told MSN Autos. "If the contaminants are not removed quickly they can bond to the paint and even etch the paint."
